I'm Chris (she/her), a visual artist and astrologer living on the unceded, ancestral lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations on the west coast of Canada. I channel and read charts.
What can you expect with a paid subscription?
My weekly newsletter, published every Thursday. Not quite a weekly forecast, I write about transits that I feel deserve special attention. As a DIY herbalist, I follow the ‘simplers method’, and with my astrology writing, my approach is similar: one (or two) transits at a time. I have a special interest in outer planet transits to the luminaries, aka the Sun and Moon.
All founding subscribers will receive a 500 word chart interpretation, written by me personally. I do not use canned definitions picked from the Internet. If tarot is more your thing, I’m happy to provide a tarot reading, which will also be 500 words, uniquely channelled, and written by me personally.
Privacy. Paywalled posts allow community members to write about astrology without worrying about ending up in an internet search. A lot of people use their ‘real’ names on Substack, and desire privacy.
Being part of a community. I’ve made deep and lasting connections with fellow astrology lovers online, but in small spaces, and sadly never on the large social platforms. This is the kind of community I’m interested in creating and facilitating: one in which you feel safe, respected, and supported on your astrological journey.
A clear understanding of my values as a human, and an astrologer. As a Capricorn Moon, I value safety for all humans, both practically and emotionally. I value racial, gender, economic and social equality. I believe in self-determination. I believe in land back. I will not pretend to be something I’m not. If I don’t know, I will say so, though as a Sagittarius Ascendant, I will inevitably take a kick at the theorizing can.
