I realized this morning that I’ve been agitated about the recent eclipse conversations across the mediascape. For years, astrologers have written about the growing popularity of astrology. I don’t know how we can collectively determine the metrics of such a statement (‘astrology has gone mainstream’), let alone determine it to be a true one. I think as long as we’ve been on earth, humans have turned to the stars for guidance and divine knowledge. The agitation I felt around the eclipse is also linked to other transits: Mars conjunct Saturn in Pisces; Mercury retrograde; Jupiter conjunct Uranus in Taurus; and now the Sun conjunct Mercury in Aries, which is exact today at 22° on April 11, 2024.
The best way I can describe the energy right now is micro atomic. It feels tiny, toxic, invisible to the naked eye, and incredibly powerful. This conjunction has many of us feeling an enormous amount of grief-filled rage. We may feel bursting at the seams to do something - anything!- new. We may feel compelled to cut ties with people we consider to be of weaker character. We may feel driven to take risks, such is our boredom with status quo. We may feel our familial differences to be intolerable. We may feel anger that we have to smooth the edges of our personality to make people we don’t like feel more comfortable. All that to say, it’s okay if you’re bored, lacklustre, not well. If you’re angry. If you're suddenly out of patience.
