When Our Pain is Too Big
Jupiter in Gemini sextile Chiron in Aries at 20° + something about orbs
🕊️ Please hold the Palestinian people in your consciousness 🕊️
Jupiter in Gemini has been sextile Chiron in Aries for a couple of weeks now, and this transit will be most active until early December. Both Jupiter and Chiron are currently retrograde, which means they go their separate ways for a spell. Chiron goes direct December 30, 2024; Jupiter goes direct February 4, 2025. The sextile comes within minutes of being exact again, this time in mid-May, 2025. It doesn’t quite make it to exactitude. The reason I’m not giving you exact degrees and minutes with this transit is because that data matters less to me personally, than endeavouring to understand the energy of the transit itself.
Part of my process as an astrologer, artist, and DIY herbalist is to write about a single transit at a time, to work with a single herb at a time, and as for artwork goes, I no longer share images of my work on social media. I do occasionally share my work here in my newsletter, but I'm not sure if that will continue. Every photograph I post I'm prepared to have stolen, screenshot, or shared without accreditation, even if behind a paywall. Look at what happened to Twitter. Something similar could very well happen to Substack, and with Pluto about to enter Aquarius - the sign that rules technology and social systems - where it will remain for the next 20 years, I urge anybody putting their work online to create hard copy backups. If you are Gen X, Carrie already taught you that, though, so of course you back up everything. If you have everything on a cloud, please try to understand the environmental implications of that. Next time you are scrolling on your phone and hating it, simply delete photographs instead. I may as well tell you that Jupiter (and Sagittarius, which is ruled by Jupiter) rules both pontificating and proselytizing, as well. You’re welcome.
